THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE

"NEAC strongly supports the National Popular Vote to Elect the US President Campaign.  The Massachusetts proposed legislation is part of a national legislative effort to change the election process, whereby the US President and Vice President will be elected by popular vote, rather than by the electoral college.  The current process is inherently undemocratic and derives it roots from slavery.  Roscoe Morris, NEAC Political Action Committee Chair, provided testimony before the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Election Laws.  The Joint Committee has favorably voted out the bill and issued a press release."
