The Connecticut CDFI Alliance, Inc. was established in 2001 as a non-profit organization to finance the acquisition and development of affordable and special needs housing throughout the state of Connecticut. The Alliance is a collaborative union of seven Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs).
The Alliance provides the most patient source of financing to enable developers to acquire, construct and rehabilitate affordable rental and homeowner units for low and moderate-income families and individuals.
The Alliance’s chief activity is lending, and it operates a revolving loan fund. The Alliance also conducts training sessions and workshops to provide technical assistance to affordable housing developers.
